Ghana Delegation Visit
Not Sleeping in Boxes
Since it was a bit wet outside and sleeping in boxes would have been more than soggy, everyone canvassed the neighborhood to collect canned food for the food pantry and play "Bigger and Better." Here are the results:
Randy believes that the boys obviously won because they came back with two "better" items. Lindsay knows that is obvious that the girls brought back an item that was BIGGER and clearly better, or at least practical. You can weigh in on the right side-bar.

Welcome back!
Hello, to all you new youth groupies. Welcome back to all of you who have done this before. We can't wait to start the new year! Tell us (any of the youth advisors) what you're up to and we can add it to the calendar. Going to perform in a school play? We'd love to see it. Playing baseball this year, Bohmke? Tell us when your games are. Your fellow youth group members might even attend, too!
Enjoy the start of yet another school year and we'll see you soon!

Graduating? Let the church know!
High school graduates are asked to let the church office know by Sunday, May 18 your graduating information – high school and plans after graduation i.e. college, job, or military. We would also like to have a picture of our high school seniors that will be returned to you. We also ask those graduating from college or getting a post-graduate degree to provide us with your information by May 18.

2006 Lock-In Remix!
In case you were one of the unfortunate few who missed last year's awesome lock-in experience, you can play the video above and kinda feel like you were almost there...
This year, our intrepid youth council members have accepted the challenge to find new and better games for us to play. Each of your youth council leaders will be leading at least a couple of new games, or perhaps some old favorites. Of course, Alien is a given, complete with night-vision camera work and instant replay action.
I've heard rumors of a Nintendo Wii game challenge up on the big screen with the projector, so any of you with Wiimotes might want to load up your Mii on your 'mote and bring it with you.
Look at the post below to vote for your favorite pizza toppings and come prepared with some creativity to spare. If you've got suggestions for games that you'd like to see, submit them as comments to this blog.
Rate your favorite pizza toppings
Hey everybody! We are going to repeat our grand pizza-making experiment that we did at last year's lock-in once more this year... I will make a bunch of dough and sauce ahead of time and bring them to the church kitchen. Then you will all pitch in to help shape crusts and top the pizzas with cheese and your favorite toppings.
If you own a pizza stone and don't mind sharing, please call Randy. We can cook more pizzas faster if we have several pizza stones to cook on!
I asked the youth council for topping ideas and got a wide variety of suggestions. I'd like to know what everybody likes so I can be sure to buy enough of the most popular and not buy anything that nobody will eat.
Please rate the following toppings (more stars is better). Only rate them if you are actually going to be at the lock-in!
Pepperoni:
Ham:
Pineapple:
Black Olives:
Bell Peppers:
Mushrooms:
Sweet Italian Sausage:
Hot Italian Sausage:
Sweet Potatoes + marshmallows:
White Onions:
Red Onions:
Fresh Basil:
Sun-dried tomatoes:
Bertie-Botts Everyflavor Beans:
Salami:
Broccoli:
Mac 'n Cheese:
Real bacon:
If you have any other burning suggestions, submit them as comments to this post!
